A History of Caring...

Morganton Eye Physicians, P.A. was established in 1974 as a solo ophthalmology practice from a small basement office in Drexel, North Carolina. Larry F. Willis, M.D., Diane Franklin, R.N. and a part-time receptionist opened the clinic on July 1st 1974 and saw only eight (8) patients the entire day.

Today, over 25 years later, Morganton Eye Physicians, P.A. has grown to include ten (10) board certified ophthalmologists, eight (8) state licensed optometrists, and over 130 medical and administrative support staff. We now have five (5) clinical locations, each including a full-service optical shop, and two (2) nationally accredited and State licensed outpatient surgery centers that serve patients throughout Western North Carolina. Each day we see hundreds of patients with needs ranging from routine eye care to medical and surgical care. From prescription eyeglasses and contact lenses to treatment for sight-threatening conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetic eye diseases, we provide comprehensive and convenient eye care of the utmost quality.

We are also pleased to offer the latest surgical procedures in vision correction, including LASIK and PRK. Additionally, we offer cosmetic and aesthetic services that include laser eyelid surgery, laser skin resurfacing, and laser hair removal.
