Dr.
Betor received her undergraduate degree from Duke University and
graduated from medical school at the University of North Carolina
at Chapel Hill. She completed her internship in internal medicine
at UNC and was a resident in ophthalmology and chief resident at
New York Medical College.
After her residency, she practiced as a general ophthalmologist
with St. Barnabas Corporation in New York City. As a general ophthalmologist,
Dr. Catherine Betor wanted to be able to do more for children, so
she returned to school to specialize in pediatric ophthalmology.
She trained at the University of Iowa, one of the top pediatric
ophthalmology programs in the country.
A native of Raleigh, Dr. Betor returned to North Carolina when
she finished her training. In 1999, she joined the private practice
of Morganton Eye Physicians, P.A.
Dr. Betor received certification from the American Board of Ophthalmology
in 1998. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology,
a member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology
and Strabismus, a member of the North Carolina Medical Society and
North Carolina Society for Eye Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Betor
is a compassionate and skilled physician dedicated to providing
surgical and medical care of the highest quality.
