Dr. Davis received an undergraduate degree from Emory University and earned a medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. After medical school, Dr. Davis completed an internship in ophthalmology at Emory University Hospitals. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the North Carolina Medical Society, and a specialist dedicated to the highest standards of patient welfare, service, and surgical expertise.
Dr. Davis began refractive procedures in 1986. In 1992, he expanded his training to include LASIK laser vision correction. He has completed nine training programs including the U.S. Preceptorship in Boston, Massachusetts and the European Preceptorship in London, England. Dr. Davis was named one of LaserVision's® top 100 refractive surgeons in the country.
Dr. Davis regularly performs conventional LASIK and CustomVu TM LASIK and is certified to use both Visx® and Summit® laser systems. With the addition of Near Vision CK and the technology of accommodative intraocular lenses, Dr. Davis is positioned to offer a comprehensive refractive practice.

Morganton Eye Physicians, PA is pleased to announce the association of Dr. Jeremy Bonkowske for the practice of Cornea and External Disease and Surgery. Dr. Bonkowske obtained his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine and completed an internship at the University of Missouri Department of Internal Medicine. Dr. Bonkowske completed his ophthalmology residency at Wake Forest University, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Bonkowske completed a comprehensive one-year fellowship in cornea, external diseases, and refractive surgery at the Dean McGee Eye Center at the University of Oklahoma.
Dr. Bonkowske is now accepting patients at our Morganton, Marion, Forest City, and Shelby locations.
