Dr. Hannah is a graduate of Georgia State University and the Duke University School of Medicine. He completed his medical internship and Ophthalmology residency at Duke Medical Center. Dr. Hannah was certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and completed two years of active duty in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. before beginning private practice in Shelby, North Carolina in October 1970.

Dr. Hannah joined Morganton Eye Physicians, P.A. in 1974. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and serves as Alternate Councilor to the Academy from North Carolina. Dr. Hannah is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a member of the North Carolina Medical Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and a member of the North Carolina Medical Society. He is also a member of the Cleveland County Medical Society.

Morganton Eye Physicians, PA is pleased to announce the association of Dr. Jeremy Bonkowske for the practice of Cornea and External Disease and Surgery. Dr. Bonkowske obtained his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine and completed an internship at the University of Missouri Department of Internal Medicine. Dr. Bonkowske completed his ophthalmology residency at Wake Forest University, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Bonkowske completed a comprehensive one-year fellowship in cornea, external diseases, and refractive surgery at the Dean McGee Eye Center at the University of Oklahoma.

Dr. Bonkowske is now accepting patients at our Morganton, Marion, Forest City, and Shelby locations.
