Dr. Alexander graduated from Western Carolina University and received an optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis Tennessee. Dr. Alexander received certification from the North Carolina State Board of Optometry in 1981.

Dr. Alexander is a member of the American Optometric Association, a member of the North Carolina Optometric Association, a member and past president of the Catawba Valley Optometric Association, and a member of the Contact Lens Division American Optometric Association.

Dr. Alexander has been in private practice since 1982. He joined Morganton Eye Physicians, P.A. in 1995. Dr. Alexander is a compassionate eye care professional dedicated to delivering personalized services to patients.

Morganton Eye Physicians, PA is pleased to announce the association of Dr. Jeremy Bonkowske for the practice of Cornea and External Disease and Surgery. Dr. Bonkowske obtained his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine and completed an internship at the University of Missouri Department of Internal Medicine. Dr. Bonkowske completed his ophthalmology residency at Wake Forest University, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Bonkowske completed a comprehensive one-year fellowship in cornea, external diseases, and refractive surgery at the Dean McGee Eye Center at the University of Oklahoma.

Dr. Bonkowske is now accepting patients at our Morganton, Marion, Forest City, and Shelby locations.
