Dr. Walton graduated as valedictorian from Upsala College in New Jersey. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey. It was there that he also completed a residency in ophthalmology. Dr. Walton also served as Chief Resident while at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey. He then completed a glaucoma fellowship at the Dean A. McGee Eye Institute at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center.

Dr. Walton joined Morganton Eye Physicians, PA in September of 2004. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and offers medical and surgical services for the treatment and management of glaucoma.
